About J Traczyk
J Traczyk developed many of his gifts, talents, and passion for design through his years working at Kirby Kasting and Grace Ann Productions with both companies’ founder KingKirby. There he’s enjoyed the opportunities refining his talents creating posters, and numerous other visual communications, leading to Production and Set Design for shows, as well as Event Planning & Promotions, directing Children’s Theatre, and Fine Arts Instruction.
In addition to J’s design and visual arts emphasis, J loves music, singing, and acting too. He’s had the privilege of also traveling to England, Sweden, Australia, and Japan with Grace Ann Productions as a performer and team member. Favorite roles have included the ASL-signing Mark Twain in Big River, a toe-tapping FDR in Annie, John Wilkes Boothe from Assassins, and Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar.
As an architecture student at Oklahoma State University, J deepened his appreciation for people first design, as well as a value for space, form, and construction. Today space planning, and furniture design are other areas of pursuit.
Most recently, J met Sharon Hutton with Letterpress of Tulsa while seeking printing for a client's wedding invitations and decided purchasing one of her presses was apropos. For J this is a return to his roots as both of his parents worked in the printing industry which gave J the opportunity to first demonstrate his talents for graphic arts, greeting card design, ad and newsletter layouts. J's mother, Nancy ran Just 'R Type a typesetting business, while J.'s dad, Wayne serviced typesetting and printing presses across the state with his company Wayne's Electronic Service. With Letterpress, J appreciates the handmade craft which takes him back to the days of cut and paste, light tables, and waxers.
